Anna Vayakovsky (Lola Glaudini) is the main villainess from "Family Ties," episode 1.12 of Blue Bloods (airdate January 26, 2011). She is the mother of Sophia Vayakovsky, who's fiance, Mischa Gruschenko, was fatally gunned down during their engagement party.
Anna's backstory revealed that she was born Anna Parnas, and she went to high school with detective Jackie Curatola. As Jackie revealed to Danny Reagan, they were the best of friends, and it was at age 16 that Anna became pregnant with Sophia, after which she married Sophia's father, Russian mob boss Alex Vayakovsky. Both Anna and Sophia were interviewed by Danny and Jackie, with Sophia revealing her apathy for Mischa's whereabouts, which also revealed that she knew that Mischa was seen with another woman.
Danny suspected that Sophia may have killed Mischa due to this, even after Sophia stated that Mischa loved her even as women threw themselves at him. Anna lashed out at Danny and Jackie--the former for his accusations and accusing the latter of always being jealous of her, before stating that Mischa being the son of Maxmillian Gruschenko (another mob boss) may have got him killed. After Sergei Sokoloff survived an explosion masterminded by Maxmillian (who believed Sergei killed his son), he revealed to the detectives that the woman who was seen with Mischa was Svetlana Bayul, who used to work at Anna's dress shop, leading to the reveal that Anna had killed Mischa.
As revealed in Danny and Jackie's confronation, Anna did not approve of her daughter's relationship with Mischa, and she resorted to paying Svetlana to seduce Mischa away from the party, which she does and later makes out with him. At that moment, the evil Anna shot Mischa to death, much to Svetlana's shock, as she didn't think murder was part of Anna's plan. Sophia expressed shock over her mother's confession to setting up Mischa, adding that she planned to convince Sophia that Mischa was no good, while stating that Svetlana didn't expectt her to kill Mischa. Regarding killing her daughter's fiancee, Anna claimed that her actions were committed for Sophia and that she didn't want her to make the same mistakes she made, right before Danny handcuffed and arrested the villainess.
