Angie McHenry

The evil Angie McHenry

Angie McHenry (Mira Sorvino) is the hidden villainess from the 2019 comedy, Stuber. She is the captain of the LAPD, and the superior of one of the film's main protagonists, LAPD detective Vic Manning.

Introduction[]

Angie's first appearance saw her inform Vic that the case regarding notorious drug trafficker Oka Teijo (who shot and killed Vic's partner, Sarah Morris, in the film's opening) was being turned over to the FBI, enraging Vic. The film's progression saw Vic go on his own quest to capture Tejio after receiving a tip from Leon, doing so with the unlikely help of an Uber driver named Stu (the film's other main protagonist). The pair ended up encountering a gang of Teijo's henchmen at an animal hospital run by Dr. Branch, after which Vic and Stu successfully took down and killed the group. Vic informed Stu to send a text to one of Teijo's cohorts, which falsely stated that Vic was dead.

Angie's heel turn and reveal as a corrupt villainess

In a surprise twist, Angie turned heel when she was revealed to be aligned with Teijo, with her reveal as a corrupt villainess coming at Nicole Manning's (Vic's daughter) art gallery--where she was shown receiving the text on her phone. Afterwards, Angie greeted Nicole and answered her question regarding her father by claiming not to have seen him, before leaving to run an "important errand." The villainess was later shown at Branch's office, where she shot Branch to death after he revealed that Vic and Stu were at his office. It was during this point that Vic (under Stu's advisement) phoned Angie and asked for backup, with Vic unaware of Angie's heel persona and corruption.

The film's climax saw Angie arrive and meet Vic, who was shocked to see that she was the only one who appeared. In response to Vic's inquiry about the FBI, the evil Angie stated that they weren't needed, after which she held Vic at gunpoint and revealed that she was a mole working for Teijo. In addition, the villainess revealed that she and Teijo had Leon set up the meeting with Vic, after which Teijo shot him to death, and it was also uncovered that Angie's villainous collusion led to Morris getting killed. Regarding Vic, Angie planned to kill him and set him up as the mole, only for Stu (who sensed something was amiss when he only saw Angie's car on the way) to appear and run down the villainous police captain in his Uber car. After being hit it was unknown if she is alive or deceased if she survived she would be arrested and sentenced to prison (off-screen).
