Amber Miller a.k.a Julie Palmer (Mekenna Melvin) was the main villainess in the 2013 Lifetime film The Nightmare Nanny (airdate July 13th, 2013).

Backstory[]
At the beginning of the film, Amber was pregnant with a little girl she intended on naming Gabby. While driving with her husband Jake, Amber and Jake got into a horrific accident that resulted in Amber losing her baby. Amber could no longer have children and went into a massive depression while also becoming suicidal.
Introduction/Events[]

Amber is first spotted 3 years after the accident at a local playground where she spots 3 year old Jenny with her parents Annie and Ben. Annie tells Ben that she plans to go back to work and is interested in hiring a nanny to look after Jenny. Amber goes to their residence where she encounters another applicant named Julie Palmer with Amber asking Julie to look over her resume. Amber murders Julie (off-screen) and poses as her during the interview where she lands the job. Amber quickly becomes fixated on Jenny and refers to her as Gabby causing Jenny to favor Amber over her mother. Amber also tries to flirt with Ben who rejects her advances. Annie has her sister-in-law Elise check on Amber and Jenny. Elise goes to Annie's home and notices Amber wearing Annie's necklace with Amber lying stating that Annie lent it to her. Elise, knowing something is off, goes upstairs to check on Jenny and kisses her goodnight. Amber, feeling that Elise is a threat to her plan, has her husband Jake attack Elise and stage the incident as a robbery causing Elise to be hospitalized. On her day off, Amber stalks Annie and Jenny at the park telling Jenny to stay in sight so Amber can see her. Amber takes Jenny to her first swim lesson with Annie lashing out at her stating that Amber did not have the right to do that. Amber apologizes and so does Annie for being to hard on Amber. Amber opens up about her past to Annie telling Annie she can no longer have children with Annie sympathizing with Amber. Amber later has Jake kidnap Jenny from the playground while Annie takes an important business call. Amber helps the couple search for Jenny but when Annie notices that Jenny's heart medication and favorite teddy bear are missing Annie suspects that Amber may be involved. Annie attempts to get in contact with Amber but Amber blows her off and leaves town with Jenny claiming that Jenny is her "daughter".

Death[]
Amber and Jake take Jenny to her parents house pretending that Jenny is their "daughter". When Amber's mother asks her why she chose the same name, Amber goes off on her mother and berates her by telling her she can name her child whatever she wants. After going off on her mother, Amber takes "Gabby" and leaves her parents house. A few days go by with Amber still following her delusions that Jenny is her daughter much to Jake's annoyance. When Jake tells Amber that Jenny is not their daughter and that Gabby is dead, Amber goes berserk and starts wielding a knife at Jake kicking him out. Annie calls Amber telling her that she is town and wants to see Jenny one last time with Amber viciously telling Annie that "Gabby" is hers now and to leave them alone. Amber also gets paranoid that Annie is tracking her phone and warns her to stay away from them. Annie begs Amber to see Jenny one last time but this time Annie refers to Jenny as "Gabby". Amber in a very passive aggressive tone allows Annie to see her one more time and hangs up the phone. Amber then writes a suicide note and poisons a milk bottle for Jenny before leaving her home. Amber returns to the bridge where the accident took place and sings Jenny a lullaby before giving her the poisonous milk bottle. Amber then climbs the bridge until she is startled by the police who were bought to the bridge by Jake along with Annie and Ben. Amber tells the police to stay away from her while Jake pleads with Amber not to jump as he will get her the help she needs. Amber refuses to get down which results in Annie trying to reason with Amber only for Amber to tell Annie that she doesn't deserve a family. When the police announce that they found Jenny, Amber commits suicide by jumping off the bridge and falls to her death.
