The evil Amanda Reed
Amanda Reed (Jamie Luner) was the main villainess from "Dead Man Talking," episode 1.19 of NCIS (airdate April 27, 2004).
Backstory[]
Amanda Reed was born Hamilton Voss, and she was a Lt. Commander in the Navy prior to the events of the episode. At some point, Amanda turned heel and embezzled $10 million from the Navy, leading to her being suspected of credit card fraud. Knowing that she could face charges, Amanda colluded with her longtime friend, Joshua Lurie, to fake Amanda's death, doing so by burning a male victim to death and placing him inside a car, making it appear that Voss was killed in a car accident. However, Amanda later killed Lurie in that same fashion two years prior to the events, doing so fearing that he would talk.
Events[]
In the time that passed, Amanda made her transition from her former identity to her true one, all while getting away scot free with her ill-gotten money. Christopher Pacci, an NCIS agent, was on the cold case in the episode's events, and he had tracked Amanda to her apartment. Though he was unaware of Amanda's past, Pacci ended up shot to death by the villainess, and afterwards, the evil Amanda disemboweled Pacci in the elevator of her apartment building. Pacci's murder brought Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his crew to the case, as they knew Pacci (he sat behind Kate Todd in the office).
The group learned about Pacci's investigation into Voss' apparent death, and it led to Amanda being introduced as a woman connected to Voss. Tony DiNozzo and Timothy McGee were enlisted to keep an eye on Amanda, with the former being taken by her and managing to maneuver his way into Amanda's apartment. Meanwhile, Abby Sciuto revealed the truth about Amanda to Gibbs and Kate: Amanda and Voss were one in the same, as the DNA on the cosmetics catalogs matched Voss. The episde's climax saw Tony on a date with Amanda at a bar, where Gibbs called Tony and revealed the truth about Amanda/Voss. After Amanda returned from the lavatory, Tony held her at gunpoint, leading to the villainess acting distressed so she could escape.
The ruse led to both Tony and McGee held at bay by the customers, though Amanda was stopped by GIbbs and Kate--the former holding the villainess at gunpoint. Gibbs reminded Amanda (who had her own gun) about who she had killed, only for Amanda to attempt to point her gun at Gibbs, who shot and killed the villainess.
