Allison

The psychotic and vengeful Allison

Allison (Cynthia Preston) was the main villainess from the 2008 Lifetime film, A Woman's Rage (alternately titled, The Love of Her Life; airdate March 1, 2008).

Backstory[]

Allison's backstory only revealed that her father left her and her mother when she was a child, and at some point in adulthood, she met Brian Hagan and began a relationship. However, Allison's insane jealousy and beliefs that Brian was cheating on her led to their relationship ending, with her deranged demeanor increasing when she made a copy of her house key and broke into Brian's home.

Events[]

Evil Blonde Allison

Allison's evil glare as she targets Brian

The film's opening saw Allison outside a restaurant and gazing in fury at Brian with his new fiancee, Kathryn Brown (the film's main protagonist), stating that it confirmed her belief that Brian was cheating on her (despite the relationship beginning after the break-up). Allison confronted Brian and pleaded with him to get back together with her, only to later go into an outburst when Brian threatened to call the police on her. Allison plotted revenge on Kathryn for (in her mind) taking Brian from her, and the plan began with luring Brian's sister, Jordan, into a meeting with an interviewer.

The ruse was part of Allison's plan to kill Jordan, which she does afterwards by suffocating her with a plastic bag, and later took her body to Brian's cabin, where she placed her inside a freezer. The insane villainess later tracked Brian and Kathryn to the latter's home, and after doing so, the evil Allison ran Brian off the road while he was riding his bike, causing Brian to strike his head on a rock, killing him instantly. Kathryn found out about Brian's death, and it was at that moment that Allison appeared and introduced himself as Jordan, Brian's sister. Allison was welcomed by Kathryn, who eventually moved in with Kathryn and her son, Scott Brown, with Allison forming a bond with Scott during the film's progression.

The "bond" saw Allison purposely drive a wedge between Scott and Kathryn, which began when both of them got tattoos together, drawing Kathryn's ire. Scott confided in Allison when he planned to sneak out to be with his friends (despite being on probation). Allison tracked Scott and witnessed his confrontation with a police officer, which she caused when she phoned the police regarding a "break-in" to a car, and later phoned Kathryn regarding what happened. Kathryn, who voiced her objections to Allison and Scott's bond, ejected Allison from the house and accused her of being a bad influence on her son.

Climax and Death[]

Allison Villainess

Allison luring Scott to Brian's cabin

In the film's climax, Allison lured Scott to Brian's cabin, after moving Jordan's body, and asked him to help her move. In actuality, the villainess was preparing to drug Scott, and after Scott's arrival, Allison prepaired a pair of cups of coffee--giving Scott the drug-laced drink. After Scott began to succumb, Allison revealed her true evil colors, as well as her plan to kill Scott to "even things out" between her and Kathryn. As for Kathryn, she arrived at the cabin after learning that Scott left work early, and encountered Allison, who acted worried over Scott's well being.

Once Kathryn went to dial 911, Allison pointed a shotgun at Kathryn and revealed her true identity as Brian's crazed ex-fiancee. In addition, the maniacal villainess revealed her plan to kill Scott, stating that she wanted Kathryn to feel the way that Allison herself felt when Kathryn (in her mind) took Brian from her. However, Allison stated that the plan was for Scott to be found with the real Jordan, but she would have to add Kathryn to her collection of victims, but at that moment, Kathryn fought back and shoved the villainess towards the stone wall, with Allison striking her head on the wall. In her last moments, the psychotic villainess had flashbacks to her relationship with Brian and her father leaving her, and apparently finally came to the realization that it was her own evil, controlling nature that caused Brian to break up with her, and not the other way around as she had thought in her delusional mind. Apparently knowing the cold, hard truth, Allison then succumbed to her head injury and died, thus grinding her schemes and overall evil to a permanent halt.
