The evil Alexandra Styles
Alexandra Styles (Guylaine St-Onge; 1965-2005) is the main villainess from "Studio 3X," episode 5.20 of The Hitchhiker (airdate November 11, 1989). She is the owner of the titular Studio 3X, which is used to erotic media.
Alexandra first appeared in the dreams of journalist Doug Boynton, who decided to feature her in his latest interview. Doug used the interview to gain ratings for the show, with the interview seeing Alexandra state that men like Doug are responsible for her business--adding that Doug (among other men, in her mind) can't see past their own conceit and ambition. Later in the episode, Doug's fantasy with Alexandra is shown on TV, leading to a confrontation during the episode's climax.
Alexandra denied releasing the material in response to Doug's accusation of her being in league with the demonstrators who had been against him, and added that Doug dreamt up the image beforehand. At that moment, Doug and Alexandra embraced each other, after which Doug shackled Alexandra, who laughed wickedly afterwards. Doug grabbed a dagger and plunged it into Alexandra, killing her instantly, after which Doug was arrested. The episode's final scenes showed Doug--driven insane--being interviewed by his former colleague, Cynthia, in prison; an interview that was watched by a Studio 3X employee. The employee mentioned the ratings to Alexandra, who was shown in a video screen, and in response, the evil Alexandra cackled and stated that the "next wave" was beginning.
