Alex (Jenny Shakeshaft) is the main villainess from the 2021 film, House of Glass.
Alex is married to Ian, though the film's opening revealed that Alex had been obsessively accusing Ian of having an affair. Her suspicions were based on Ian's talking in his sleep, as Alex stated that Ian's talking had included mentioning his mistress by name and having sex with her in his fantasy. The accusations were met with denial by Ian, and it was also revealed that they had been in therapy as a result of the accusations, with one session revealing that Alex had been trying to record Ian's sleep-talking, but the noise machine kept her from getting anything.
Alex had vented to a man named Brian about her beliefs regarding Ian's cheating, with the accused mistress being Bella (Ian and Alex's neighbor), who was married to Nate. Another argument between the couple actually ended with Ian walking into the kitchen and seeing Bella tied up and gagged, after which Alex fully turned heel by pistol-whipping Ian before tying him up as well. The deranged villainess, while wielding a gun, ordered Bella and Ian to confess to their affair, with both sides vehemently denying everything, and it was later in the film that Alex boasted that Nate had been relentlessly calling her, with Nate being established as being violently jealous and capable of violent acts.
The film's climax saw Alex play the recordings again, only hearing the noise machine before discovering a full recording of Ian's erotic sleep-talking. The villainess gave the phone to Ian so he could listen, only for Ian to deny hearing anything. However, when Bella listened, she confirmed Alex's statements and stated that she heard the sleep-talking, and it was afterwards that an argument between Bella and Ian revealed that they had cheated on their respective spouses with each other, with the added revelation that Ian had been with women other than Alex and Bella. At that moment, Nate called again, with Bella stating that the ringer was on. The final scene with Alex and Brian in the car while Nate was heading to the house revealed that after the discovery, the evil Alex sent Nate to the house--knowing his violent tendencies--with the villainess and Brian driving off before Nate killed his wife and Ian before committing suicide.
