The unnamed Adulterous Wife (Jennifer Ann Massey) is a villainess from "Last Execution," episode 1.14 of Ghost Whisperer (airdate January 13, 2006). She is the illicit girlfriend of artist Clete Youngblood.
The episode revealed that Clete was executed by hanging in 1989, as he was convicted of murder. The victim--according to Clete's daughter, Leslie Youngblood--was the husband of his lover, and it was revealed that the wife's marriage was abusive. Leslie had long believed that Clete was innocent of the murder, informing Melinda Gordon that she believed that the victim's wife shot and killed her husband and placed the gun in Clete's hand to set him up. However, after Leslie regained her father's paintings from Alan Rowe, Clete's crooked partner, Clete's spirit revealed the truth.
Clete admitted that he did kill his girlfriend's husband, revealing that on the night in question, the villainess arranged a meeting with him. Clete confronted the husband during their argument and shot him to death; all the while, the evil wife witnessed the murder and sent Clete away, after which she feigned panic and fingered Clete as her husband's killer. As a result, Clete ended up arrested, convicted, and executed, while the villainous wife successfully covered up her role as a conspirator.
